Coos Beekeepers are offering a one day Bee School, 9:00- 4:00. We are excited to say our instructor for the day will be Dr. Dewey Caron, professor and author.
The course will cover:
Basic understanding of honeybees
Equipment needed
Challenges of beekeeping on the Oregon coast
Getting colonies through the winter
Managing spring population increase
Swarm control
Honey production
Hands-on time with our training hives
Who Should Attend: People thinking about getting into beekeeping, newbie beekeepers (0-4 yrs), anyone interested in learning about beekeeping or an experienced beekeeper wanting a refresher course.
Members: $5 Non-members: $20 Pre-registration required.
