Zoom 101

Attending the Conference

As in recent years, Zoom is the video conferencing platform that we will use for the OSBA Fall Conference. You will receive an email prior to the start of the conference with a link. You simply need to click on the link and you’ll instantly be transported to an online room full of your beekeeper friends.

On your computer

Just click the meeting link you are sent, and your computer will launch Zoom. Your computer will need to install Zoom if it’s not already, so you may want to do a test run before the conference.

On your phone with video

Find the Zoom App in your app store (it’s free). Install on your phone. When you receive a meeting link, click on it and your app will open and you’ll be in your meeting.

On your phone without video

Call the number provided, enter the meeting number, then passcode when prompted. You will hear presenters but you won’t be able to see them.

The Zoom website has very helpful resources! Go to www.zoom.us for very easy to use guides.

Once Zoom loads on your preferred device, you will be asked to connect to audio. You can choose to connect via your computer or phone. Select what works best for you. Most people connect via computer audio. Be sure your computer has speakers so you can hear.

**Tip! Consider logging on 5 minutes early just to be sure things are working on your end.

**The 2022 Fall Conference will be available for all who are registered until December 31, 2022. You will receive a different link or set of links for access soon after the actual conference has ended.**
