TVBA 2023 Bee School: Registration is open now on the TVBA website at tvbabees.org. The TVBA Bee School 2023 will take place online in 3 online Zoom sessions on Wednesday, March 1, Thursday, March 2, and Monday, March 6.
Wednesday March 1, 6:30-8:30 pm: Intro to beekeeping, equipment, obtaining bees, installing your bees.
Thursday March 2, 6:30-8:30 pm: Honey bee biology, being a good steward for your bees spring into summer, reading frames and evaluating your bees, Varroa mites and mite management.
Monday March 6, 6:30-8:30 pm: Beekeeping seasons, honey/nectar flow and dearth, honey harvest, robbing behavior, queen events, disease and pest management, dead-out hive autopsies.
***If you register past the school start date or miss a class session you will receive a link to watch all of the class video recordings. Bee School requires membership before registering, so please sign-up as a TVBA member if you aren’t already.
