The 2021 Fall Conference of the Oregon State Beekeepers Association takes place in scenic Florence October 22–24 at the Florence Events Center—and at our kitchen tables! We have options this year: Attend in person or Attend online. We will again use the Zoom platform for all who are participating online.

We invite you to join with us in engagement with our fine cast of 2021 presenters, seen at a glance on our Tentative Agenda for this year’s scheduled events and at: Presentations and Presenters. They will be sharing current research, updates, and perspectives they’ve gained on some the daunting issues we all face. In addition, we will be able to take time check out our supportive Exhibitors and Advertisers, some of whom are joining us in the virtual realm as well!

Among conference extra this year are two preconference Workshops on Friday, the Honey Show (complete with a Cookie Contest again this year!), the OSU Honey Bee Lab, and the Silent and Banquet Auctions. The Silent Auction will be virtual, on-site donations will be welcome. Those who are attending in person will find a number of fine options for Lodging and Meals in the Florence area, including the conference Luncheons and the Banquet, as well as options for additional Fun in Florence! Plan to arrive early and stay late if you are attending in person; it’s such a lovely place on our planet. 

For registration online, go to Registration. For registration by mail, please download and complete the Conference Registration Form and send with a check or money order made payable to OSBA to the address listed on the form. For either, be sure to indicate whether you will be attending in person or online, and please take care in providing your email address and mailing address. We will need your email address to provide access to the streamed conference and recordings. And we will be mailing conference programs to registrants choosing to attend online. Although it seems unlikely at this point, we may need to go entirely virtual—depending on state, county, and event center guidance. In that case, we will mail programs to all who are registered.

The deadline for preregistration is October 8, 2021. Mail-in registrations need to be postmarked no later than this date. Although online registration will remain available after October 8, increased cost for both individual and family registrations will apply. Similarly, registration on site, though welcome, will be at a higher cost than the early rate. For those attending online, the deadline for streamed access is 10 am, October 22, 2021. Recordings will nonetheless be available.

Please consider registering as early as possible! Doing so will avoid the late fees. and it will also help those who are planning the conference. Also, please note that there are no refunds after October 8. Recordings of conference proceedings will remain available to all registrants until December 31, 2021. Updates will be included on this site as they become available.
