The 5th Annual Oregon Honey Festival takes place on Saturday, August 18 in downtown Ashland. Festival goers have opportunities to learn from beekeepers, taste and buy honey and mead, peruse crafts, art and enjoy live music. This family friendly event is a joint effort of the non-profit Cascade Girl and Klamath Basin Beekeepers Association.
The Festival starts at 9am with the Educational Beekeeper Breakfast at Ashland Springs Hotel and continues at 11 AM at the Ashland Elks Lodge. Special presenters include the Lakota Youth Development Honey Project, Director of the UC Davis Honey and Pollination Center, Amina Harris, and the Director of the Oregon Bee Project, Andony Melathopoulos.
On Sunday August 19th, Grizzly Peak Winery hosts the Bee-Loved Concert with Jen Ambrose. The Festival is supported by Shastina Millworks, Rogue Regency Hotel, and GloryBee. Tickets at Eventbrite.com and the door. More information at oregonhoneyfestival.com.
